Embracing Change and Transformation
Devotion 35, page 100
IN THIS UNIQUE SEASON, I firmly believe that God isn’t the cause of the circumstances but is using them as an opportunity to draw us closer to Him. It’s a time for us to welcome change and transformation into our lives. As our lives adjust and we become more familiar with new ways of fellowship and connection, God encourages us not just to accept these
changes but to wholeheartedly embrace and engage with them.
No longer should we reserve expressions of gratitude or acts of kindness for specific occasions. Instead, we should cultivate a lifestyle of compassion, regularly reaching out to others with phone calls, handwritten cards, and love-filled gestures throughout the year.
It’s essential to say yes to change and transformation. Take a moment to reflect on what God may be calling you to do differently. Assess your mindset, the condition of your heart, and the areas in need of transformation in your life. Are you open and available for the change that God wants to bring about? This transformation might involve reevaluating things we’ve taken for granted, such as our desires for gathering in specific places or engaging in particular activities. We must be willing to let go of old patterns and embrace new possibilities.
A Call to Action
Rather than clinging to things that might not genuinely enrich our lives, let’s actively seek the changes that God encourages us toward. This season may present discomfort and challenges, but it also offers an opportunity for personal growth and a deeper relationship with God. Embrace the stillness, take time to reflect on your life, and remain open to the
transformation that God desires to bring about within you.
